Tips for pregnancy


Do:
  • Take light exercise (e.g. swimming, brisk walking), but don't exercise to point of fatigue
  • Visit your local maternity ward before the birth
  • Check which medical tests you can / should have during pregnancy
  • Get plenty of oxygen - have windows open in your house
  • Get some air filtering house plants
  • Wear gloves when gardening
  • Wash fruit and vegetables thoroughly
  • Use natural cleaning products
  • Eat little and often - don't go hungry
  • Weight yourself weekly and monitor your weight gain
  • Follow a healthy pregnancy diet
  • Drink two litres of fluid per day
  • Try antenatal massage
Avoid:
  • Stress
  • Ill people, especially children
  • Cat faeces
  • Hair dyes
  • Tanning beds
  • Spray tans
  • Ibuprofen
  • Aspirin
  • Antihistamines (unless you speak to your doctor first)
